Life Expeditions

Experience the real Florida via the waterways of the Peace River or explore the beauty of God's creation under water in the coral reefs of the Keys. Spiritual Survival is a unique experience developed to challenge high schoolers both physically and spiritually while developing their leadership skills. Led by Army Reserve Trainer, Randy Garland.
New this summer is Adventure Camp for 9-12 grade which includes biking, hiking and kayaking in three central Florida State Parks as well as Paintball on the Lake Aurora campus.
These programs are limited to 18 campers and are dependent on weather conditions and river water levels.
The Peace River trip is a primitive camping experience along the banks of the river. First and last night are located on the Lake Aurora campus.
These adventures stretch campers comfort zones as most trips experience primitive camping sites off campus. Take a "walk on the wild side!"
Suggested Packing List.
Dates and programs are tentative and subject to change.

Leadership Training

One to two week programs for those campers seeking to be a true servant-leader of Christ. These programs have an application process which help determine if a camper is ready for this type program. Space is limited and the programs fill quickly.

These intense leadership development programs (Aquatics, Big MAC, Focus, and Alpha) are designed to instill in the participants the servant leader principles taught by Jesus of putting others first. They will focus on management and service skills which should help to give the participant an edge in future life. Everyone in these programs learns to function as a team through a series of work, study, and play activities.
  • Aquatics camp main purpose is to train Red Cross certified waterfront lifeguards in a spiritual environment. New to 2013, Red Cross requires online reading and testing prior to waterfront test. It is blended learning as there is online training prior to skill development. Program has been shortened to Tuesday 4 pm to Friday 4 pm.
  • The Big MAC program (Maturing As Christians) is our entry level experience for the leadership programs and has an application process. Highly recommended for those entering 8th or 9th grade. It will develop their leadership skills not only for working in camp but in any leadership environment.
  • Focus Camp for Senior high encourages youth that have made the commitment to Christ and want to develop their faith to live in the real world with real faith. Participants also experience a day trip to HEART for Third World Mission Camp exposure. Send camp registration then an "Expectations Page" and references will be requested prior to program start.
  • The Alpha Program uses high school youth to intern in vital support positions (kitchen help, dishwasher, assistants, etc.) for summer camp in two week sessions. Limited to 12 campers per session. Applications for Alpha are sent after the registration is received in the camp office with payment. Applications are evaluated in May. Each session is for 2 weeks and earns the participant a camp scholarship for one week of camp. Download and print the paper registration. Complete both sides and send to camp.
