The Sunshine Project is the development of the Lake Aurora campus in such a way that it will meet our present and future needs and, at the same time, make us a premier campus for serving those with disabilities. Below is a list of those expansion projects: |
"Removing the barriers to great experiences, and bringing sunshine to every individual's life, regardless of their mental or physical abilities." |
- James and John Hillside Leaders and Health Cabins- This double conjoined cabin, by initially leaving out some interior walls, will serve as an intermediate, flexible space that can hold 100 campers in a meeting facility until funding is in place for The Hammock, the much larger multipurpose building. As the Hammock is built (in Phase 2) this structure will transform into the infirmary and leaders cabins for the Hillside campus
- Infrastructure - Updating the Lakeside sewage system, chapel modifications, and debt reduction. The State is requiring us to update our sewage system on this south campus to tie into our sewage treatment plant as a condition for any new construction and necessity for replacement of aging systems.
- The Aurora Adventure Lagoon, Splash Island, Aurora Bayou - An exciting aquatic facility that will not only allow
the typical active campus to enjoy but will also be accessible to those with serious disabilities. As beautiful as the waters of Lake Aurora are, historically they have been inaccessible to the ministry at least seven times due to natural issues. This will give us a stabilized and controlled environment to provide more accessibility increasing our ministry opportunities significantly!
- The Valencia Leadership Training Center- A unique facility that can serve as both housing and meeting space for focused leadership development programs. Especially important for the summer leadership programs but has potential for churches to use for strategic planning retreats.
- The Cypress Lodge on the Lakeside Campus - An additional meeting building on the Lakeside campus that will seat 80-100 people that will compliment the Chapel building and allow multiple groups to use the Lakeside campus. It will have handicapped accessible restrooms to serve the general population and visitors to that campus as well.

The benefits of continuous regular giving
|
|
-
It moves us beyond today into tomorrow. Never has a time been greater to pool our resources to expand a ministry where one can "be still and know that I am God".
-
It provides stability. Small gifts, when coupled with others, creates a cash flow of committed monthly giving to move forward in meeting the growing capital needs of an expanding camping ministry. The assurance of receiving a designated dollar amount every month will allow for the freedom to focus our efforts on ministry and campus improvements as well as help eliminate the shadow of debt.
-
It involves everyone. Teamwork gets the job done. Christians working together display the awesome power of our God.

Engraved Bricks - Memory Walk
Create a lasting impression in a unique walkway located around the Redmon Ministry Center. Purchase an engraved brick to bear the name of a loved one, a child who attended camp, or in honor of your church. Use a brick to commemorate a baptism, birthday, anniversary, graduation, or marriage.
-
Each brick is placed in the "walk of faith" sidewalk leading up to the Ministry Center.
-
Each stone in the walkway reminds us that common people have come in contact with an uncommon God in this holy place and their lives will never be the same.
-
A brick can be purchased for $100 engraved with a maximum of 3 lines, up to 14 characters per line. Maybe you would like to remember an experience here with your name, a loved one, the name of a child, or in honor of your church. Whatever is special to you and the memory you hold at Lake Aurora.
