For all women...
Women of all ages, stages of life, and
Christian experience are invited to gather for a time of
refreshment, reflection, and spiritual challenge at Lake
Aurora's Women's Retreats.

An invitation to refresh...
If you need to be alone with the Lord,
feel free to skip a session and slip away to the wood for a quiet time, take a nap, or visit the bookstore. We
want this retreat to meet your needs.
Keynote Speaker...
We are very excited to have Mary Lou return to us for a second
year. Her life experiences and love of the Lord are perfect for
communicating the 2008 theme of "He Loves me". She comes to us
from Southwest Christian Church in East Point, GA where she and
her husband, Thom, have been in ministry since 1990.
College campus ministry has been an important part of Mary
Lou’s ministry over 35 years at Florida State University,
Georgia Tech, and Atlanta Christian College. In fact, they began
the campus ministry at FSU in Tallahassee in 1970 and continued
ministering there for 20 years. This was the first Christian
Church campus ministry in Florida.
Women’s ministry is important to Mary Lou as she serves
in her church through Bible Study, mentoring, and fellowship
groups that foster personal growth. She and her husband work
together in leading Marriage Enrichment Seminars throughout the
United States and she is involved in speaking at women’s
meetings, retreats, and seminars.

Important Times
Housing
There are 20 beds available in the
dorms/cabins. Please state if your lodging will not be in the dorms
or on campus. In order to accommodate 300, we need as many
as possible to bring their tents and campers.
If your group wants to stay together,
please send all registrations in at the same time.
What to bring
Dress is casual--slacks or shorts.
Comfortable walking shoes, raingear, and sweaters are
suggested. You will need bedding, blanket, towels, etc. for
sleeping in the dorms. Other suggestions include a Bible,
notebook, pencil, lawn chair, scrapbook material, board
games, insect repellant, etc.
Please note...
We realize mothers with babies and
small children would benefit from attending the retreat.
However, we do not have facilities to care for children and
it is best they do not attend. Please remember this is a
retreat for women only.
