How are things at camp?

Our Annual Report will provide a review of the past year, including details about our budget, projects, and various camp operations. The Annual Report is updated in October after the end of the fiscal year on September 30th.

Snapshot Facts & Figures for
2026 and our"Ignite" summer

  • 103 decisions in nine weeks of summer camp, including 79 baptisms, 17 rededications, and 7 called to ministry in our 27 programs.

  • 11 weeks of summer = 2,694 total participants of campers/counselors up 2 %

  • 1,656 Lake Aurora campers with 505 volunteers. ( up 3% over 2025)

  • $21,040 total camper scholarships to 90 campers 
    The GiveWell Community Foundation awarded us a $13,000 grant, funded by the George W. Jenkins and The Leland Bryan Fund, to support camp scholarships for East Polk County campers.

What and Who is the Executive Team?

In 2013 the Board of Trustees moved to have the duties and responsibilities of the Executive Director be assumed by an Executive Team approach. This team consists of Steve Bornemann, CFO & Director of Facilities, Phyllis Bornemann, Director of Operations & Marketing, and Jason Mocherman, Director of Summer Programs. As a team. they represent over 90 years of camping leadership experience.
