Christian Camp
Summer Workers
Lake Aurora Christian Camp serves hundreds of campers each year, which means we rely heavily on both volunteers and paid staff. Scroll down for more info about each type of summer staff.
Volunteer Staff
Lake Aurora is owned and operated by non-denominational Christian churches in central Florida. Volunteer staff are recruited from those churches that are committed Christians, active within their church as youth coaches, teachers, ministers, youth ministers, etc.

The Program Director for each program is responsible for selecting & screening their staff.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the online Volunteer Worker Application. Please inform the camp office that you have submitted an application either by phone or email.

If additional staff is needed for the program(s) you would like to serve in, you will be contacted by the specific Program Director for an interview and instructions for completing the screening process.
All workers are screened, including a FDLE background check. As of 2014, volunteers regardless of age, will need to be digitally fingerprinted within the Agency for Health Care Administration Clearinghouse unless currently employed with the public school system.

OMEGA Summer Staff
Omegas are our summer long support workers. They work in a variety of capacities from food service to waterfront lifeguards to grounds crew. We hire those individuals who have completed high school and are excited about serving God in a camping environment.
At Lake Aurora, we are passionate about serving. If you want to 'live out' your faith this summer, then the Omega staff is where you want to be.

We are only able to choose a limited number of dedicated young people to serve in areas from kitchen staff, to lifeguards, to target sports to canteen managers. Our staff is committed to putting themselves aside so the campers can see Jesus in action.

The Omega Application is now an online application. Selections made mid April.

Conduct
Jesus Christ is glorified in everything we do! Therefore, we stand firm on His Word and His example. We are living examples of an exemplary way of life. Our staff positively encourage one another in both word and deed. We consistently love one another and build each other up in all that we do.
Integrity, loyalty, and honesty are pillars that our staff stands on. We expect our staff to portray a Christ-like lifestyle both in and out of the camp gates.
